Be Well 5K set for April 22 at Big Walnut Sports Park

The Indiana Healthy Community Initiative invites all of the Putnam County community to join the inaugural Be Well 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, April 22 at Big Walnut Sports Park.

Persons can run, jog or walk through the paved race course in Big Walnut Sports Park, located behind Crown Equipment, as participants log 3.12 miles to a healthier Putnam County. Strollers are welcome.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., April 22 and the race begins at 9 a.m.

Persons may register in several ways. The registration form can be found on the Be Well 5K Putnam County Hospital event page or at www.pchosp.org. Click on the green Be Well 5k link.

You can also register in-person at Putnam County Hospital in the third-floor administration office. Registration the day of the event is still $20, but does not include a T-shirt. Registration fees are non-refundable. Send completed form and payment to: Putnam County Hospital, ATTN: Be Well 5K, 1542 Bloomington St., Greencastle, IN 46135.

First-place male and first-place female race winners will be recognized. Many race sponsorship organizations will be set up after the event to share information and post-race fuel, including protein bars, bananas and water.
