Richard Jay Weist

Richard Jay Weist, 58, of Fillmore, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

He was born to Marilyn Sue (Boatright) Weist (deceased) and Joseph Fredrick Weist.

He was a 1976 graduate of South Putnam High School.

He was married to Julie (Dezsi) Weist for almost 30 years.

He leaves behind his wife Julie; two children, Lindsey and Dustin Weist, both of Fillmore; four precious grandbabies, Grace, Landon, Olivia and Everett; his father Joseph Weist; three brothers, Randy, Ronald and Rodney; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held at the Dixie Chopper Business Center on Thursday, April 20 from 5-8 p.m. for anyone who would like to attend.
