April 29 Tiger Trails Bike Ride to benefit GHS scholarships

The Greencastle High School Alumni Association, in cooperation with the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department, will sponsor a 25-mile bike ride through Putnam County on Saturday, April 29 to benefit GHS scholarships and Park Department youth sports programs.

The bicycle event will take riders through two covered bridges and the famed Big Four arch. The route will be over paved and chip-and-seal roads.

Drink and snack rest stops will be provided along the route.

Pre-registration for the ride can be done at https://tigertrailsbikerally.com. Pre-registration fee is $25. Cost of the ride is $30 for those registering the day of the event at shelterhouse No. 5 in Robe-Ann Park.

Pre-registrations can also be mailed to Greencastle Alumni Association, P.O. Box 846, Greencastle, IN 46135. They must be received via mail by April 27.

The ride will begin at 9 a.m. at Robe-Ann Park, where it will also end. Check-in will be available from 7:30-8:45 a.m.

Doors prizes will be awarded at the park following the ride, while Myers’ Market and Wasser Brewing Co. will provide discounted meals for participants after the ride.
