The reigning Indiana Academic Super Bowl Class 3 state champion Greencastle High School Science team tackles a question Tuesday evening in area competition in the GHS multi-purpose room. Freshman Ben Wilkerson (left) prepares the official Greencastle answer while senior teammates Nicholas Seaman and Alex Weliever check his work. Proctor Angela Raper of Shakamak keeps a watchful eye on the action. The GHS science team, coached by teacher Brad Kingma, is one of three reigning Greencastle state championship teams, joining the English and Interdisciplinary teams with that distinction. Scores from Tuesday’s area competitions around the state will determine who advances to the Indiana Academic Super Bowl state finals May 6 at Purdue University.

  • This picture exemplifies what the ancient Romans wrote in Latin: "Mens sana in corpore sano" (A sound mind in a sound body). Being physically fit is as important as being mentally fit as well. I wish the Academic Team luck. Keep up the great work!!!
