CLOVERDALE -- After three years as the Cloverdale Elementary principal, Brad Sandy is looking forward to teaching again.

“That closer interaction with the kids and a smaller group,” Sandy said. “I came from first grade, so I would prefer that.”

Superintendent Greg Linton said that Sandy will most likely remain at the elementary level.

A 1983 graduate of Cloverdale High School, Sandy has spent 18 years in the corporation, 12 as a first-grade teacher and three each as behavior coach and principal.

The process of finding a new principal has already begun, and the corporation hopes to have a new hire approved during the June 5 regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Cloverdale Schools Administration Building.

“We want to get someone in as soon as possible so they can work with Brad,” Superintendent Linton said. “I would like to thank Mr. Sandy for his dedication to the students and staff at Cloverdale Elementary. I look forward to working with him in his new assignment, and know that he will continue to be an active member of our school community.”

  • Wonderful decision and I know Brad will be relieved of a lot of stress. Cloverdale schools and Brad Sandy are one and the same.
