ROACHDALE — North Putnam’s girls’ track team hosted Crawfordsville Thursday on Senior Night and came away with a 70.5-51.5 victory.

Emily Gasho and Hannah Sims each won two events.

Coach Kevin Lutes thought the team came out “ready to compete” on the special night.

“As a coaching staff, we continue to be impressed by the determination the girls have both during practices and in meets,” he said. “With this being our senior girls’ last home meet, I want to specifically thank Lyndi Parent, Ainslee Vogt, Aleah Duncan, Sarah Fry, Katie Hines and Kaelynn Abner.

“This has been Kaelynn’s first year and she is always encouraging to others,” Lutes added. “The other five have been a continuous source of strength, laughter, perseverance and joy over the past several years. They will be sincerely, deeply missed.”
