Evelyn Louise Capps, 65, Brazil, died April 22, 2017 at Cloverleaf Healthcare.

She was born May 10, 1951 in Decatur, Ill., the daughter of Wanda Louise Davis and Nathan Montgomery.

On July 24, 1969 Evelyn was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Capps.

She worked in several factories.

She was a Girl Scout leader for many years.

She enjoyed bingo, euchre, crocheting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Capps, her mother and her father.

Survivors include daughters Robin Parksey and husband Ron, Clay City, Rhonda Silvers and husband Terry, Clay City; adopted daughter/granddaughter Ashley Buchanan and husband Matt, Lena; grandchildren Courtney Capps and companion Joe Adkins; Ronald Simpson and wife Niki, Tyler Silvers and wife Rissa, Kimberly Wallace and husband Joe, Alexis Welch and husband Zack and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters Camie Sue Lady, Kathleen George, Peggy Sue Davis and Kathy Louise Davis; brothers Paul L. Smith, Robert Dewayne Smith, Cedrick Fredick

Smith and Michael Wayne Smith; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be conducted Wednesday April 26 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with visitation being 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with services following. Burial will be at Clearview Cemetery Brazil. Pastor Larry Richmond will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to family to offset funeral expenses.
