County Jail

Fourteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 6:05 p.m. Caitlin Marie Abdon, 22, Bainbridge, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 3:06 p.m. Robin Lynn Wilkes, 53, Poland, was charged with battery.

• At 11:25 a.m. Brandon Lee Gibson, 21, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 9:17 a.m. Shelby Kay Hodge, 25, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 2:55 a.m. Zachary Scott Hayman, 52, Reelsville, was arrested on a local warrant and a pair of out-of-county warrants.

• At 12:32 a.m. Sara Ann Trivett-Long, 28, Greencastle, was booked in on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 10:45 p.m. Scott Michael Staggs, 43, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail as a habitual traffic offender.

• At 6:53 p.m. James Vincent Wright, 46, Greencastle, was taken into custody on three local warrants.

• At 6:01 p.m. Jason Grant Snider, 42, Greencastle, was arrested on a court order.

• At 4:11 p.m. Hanna Lee Jones, 31, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant and a writ of body attachment.

• At 2:32 p.m. Michael Jason Muse, 34, Gosport, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 1:53 p.m. Jodi Lynn (Burch) Shelton, 37, Veedersburg, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 9:33 a.m. Christopher Anthony Tanner, 34, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1 a.m. Derrick Michael Thompson, 25, Quincy, was arrested on a local warrant.

City Police

Sgt. Eric Vaughan made a pair of arrests at a South End home, Greencastle City Police reported.

• At 7:42 p.m. Tuesday, Brandon Weaver, 44, Greencastle, and Heather Weaver, 34, Greencastle, were at an Ohio Street residence. Both were lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Brandon Weaver was arrested on a charge of battery, as well as on a Putnam County warrant for possession of paraphernalia and a Montgomery County warrant for battery causing bodily injury, failure to stop after an accident, criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license.

Heather Weaver was charged with battery and assisting a criminal.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies have responded to two recent property-damage accidents.

• At 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Mark A. Stoelting, 58, Greencastle, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.

Stoelting told Capt. Tom Helmer that as he was passing the Putnam County Fairgrounds he saw a deer standing on a grass strip east of the road. Stoelting steered left but the deer ran into the right rear of the vehicle.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

• At 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Edward E. McFall, 44, Spencer, was northbound on County Road 300 West in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

McFall told Capt. Helmer he crested a hill and a deer ran into his path, colliding with the right front fender and front passenger door.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
