There are six weeks left in this year’s United Way of Putnam County 2017 campaign and the organization is making a plea to donors to help better the lives of Putnam County residents.

“We don’t want to leave anyone behind and the United Way will continue to be there with our partners – whether they are people facing a crisis in their lives, isolated seniors, or children and youth who benefit from reading help or social activities after school. All of them deserve our support,” Joe Buser, executive director for the United Way of Putnam County, said.

“We are in hope of creating enthusiasm for the last-minute campaign push of 2017 which wraps up on June 30,” Buser said.

“All of our programs provide necessary community services and programs for youth. I often get the question, ‘I already support my favorite charity, why give to the United Way, too?’” he continues.

The needs of the community are broader than any one agency can handle, Buser said.

“United Way partner agencies offer a comprehensive mix of programs and services to meet the diverse needs of our total community. Also, many contributors like the option of making one donation and having it spread among many diverse programs in the community.”

Buser adds the tagline: “We’ve got your back. Live United. It’s a credo. A mission. A goal.”
