Clifford J. Anderson, 58, of Brazil, passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Lafayette.

Clifford was born in Sullivan County on Sept. 28, 1958 the son of Clifford J. Anderson and Nancy Lee (Padgett) Anderson.

He graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1977. Following high school he worked for C.F. Industries and Greencastle Manufacturing.

He had been employed at Putnamville Correctional Facility for the more than past 26 years of dedicated service.

He married Cindy Anderson on Sept. 9, 1979.

Cliff was a member of the Croy's Creek Congregational Church. He was also a devoted member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

He also served as a motorcycle instructor and as a Boy Scout Leader. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family.

In addition to his parents and his stepfather, Oscar Thomas Black, he was preceded in death by several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Anderson of Brazil; two sons, Joe Anderson and wife Sara of Virginia and Jeremy Anderson and wife Reese of Illinois; grandchildren Amery Anderson, Jayda Anderson, Selah Anderson and Ezra Anderson; five siblings, Lynn Weinrich of Clinton, Viola Ellis and husband Bob of Brazil, Jason Black of Clinton, Brian Black and wife Sheila of Brazil, and Chris Traver of Brazil as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20 at Lawson--Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until time of services.

Donations may be made to the Christian Motorcyclists Association in his memory.
