Frederick Allan Hutcheson

Frederick Allan Hutcheson, 78, Farmington Hills, Mich., went to be with his Lord and Savior. Fred lost his battle to esophageal cancer on Friday, May 12, 2017.

Born Jan. 5, 1939 at his grandparents' home, Phillip and Rachel Hutcheson, at Manhattan.

His parents were Woodrow and Thelma (Berry) Hutcheson. They preceded him in death.

He owned his own roofing business until his retirement. He loved fishing and mushroom hunting in the northern Michigan woods and lakes.

Fred joined the Army in 1957 and was stationed at the Pentagon and in Germany and visited the Holy Lands while there.

He moved to Michigan in 1961 to work for his uncle and Michigan became his home. Fred loved classic cars and shows, especially the famous "Woodward Avenue Cruise" in Pontiac, Mich., and the Newport Hill Climb.

He was a member of Brightmore Christian Church.

Survivors include his love wife Fran; sons John, Terry and Fred and grandson Freddie; stepsons Barry, Bobby, Ken and Kevin and several step-grandchildren; brother Don (Sherry) and Woodie (Freda); sisters Doris Watson and Nancy (Bob) Curran; several nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law Carole (Larry) Fox and brother-in-law Bill (Cathy) Richards; his beloved shih-tzu Holly and close friend John King.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
