Monday, May 22, 2017

On Wednesday, May 31 Dr. John Stephens with Dermatology Inc. will be conducting free skin cancer screenings at Putnam County Hospital.

The screen is a biannual event that is sponsored by the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

“Early detection is the key to treating melanoma,” Cancer Center RN Casey Hendrixson stressed.

“We offer the free screen to encourage more people to take an interest in their health and to protect themselves from cancer,” she added.

The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule a skin cancer screen, persons may contact the Cancer Center at 655-2581.

The screens will take place from 3-5 p.m. in the Cancer Center located on the second floor of Putnam County Hospital.
