Man killed Monday in Parke County mowing accident

HOLLANDSBURG — A 71-year-old man died Monday afternoon in a mowing accident in eastern Parke County.

Just after 2 p.m., Wayne Brown was mowing on property east of Raccoon Lake on Walker Ramp Road when the lawn tractor went down a ravine and rolled over.

The victim was thrown from the machine and then pinned by it.

An autopsy was scheduled at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
