‘Paw Power’ celebrated by North Putnam Cougars

NPHS top readers for the second semester of the 2016-17 school year each received “Paw Power” prizes in recognition of their reading efforts. BAINBRIDGE -- On the heels of School Library Month, which saw a great deal of students utilizing their school’s resouraces inside the media center at North Putnam High School, the Cougars are at it again, recognizing the top readers for the second semester of the 2016-17 school year.

In total, NPHS students read more than 1,400 books during the school year. Complete with reading contests, prizes and top readers, the top second-semester readers received a Paw Power pack for their achievements.

The grand-prize winner for both School Library Month and the Top Reader for the second semester was Kaleb Cooksey, reading nearly 70 books in less than five months.

Coming in second place overall was Michael Gilman at 58 books while Anthony Holt rounded off the top three with 34 books-read.
