Andrea E. Sununu, professor of English at DePauw University, is the recipient of an Outstanding Advising Award for Faculty Academic Advising, presented by the National Academic Advising Association.

“This award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated qualities associated with outstanding academic advising of students,” according to NACADA, a 13,000-member organization which promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to enhance the educational development of students.

The Faculty Academic Advising category includes those individuals whose primary responsibility is teaching and who spend a portion of their time providing academic advising services to students.

Sununu, who has been a member of the DePauw faculty since 1990, will be presented with the award in October at NACADA’s annual conference in St. Louis.
