Betty Jean McCullough

Betty Jean McCullough, 90, of Reelsville, passed away June 7, 2017 at Cloverleaf Nursing Home.

Betty was born April 20, 1927 in Putnam County, the daughter of the late William Harvey and Gertrude (Chew) Aker.

She graduated from Reelsville High School in 1945.

Betty married the love of her life, Herschel Seibert McCullough, on Dec. 3, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Betty was a member of Croy's Creek Christian Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting and going on walks.

Betty had worked at South Putnam High School as a cook.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William "Bill" Aker, Richard "Dick" Aker, Jack Aker and Martha McPherson.

Betty is survived by her sons, David (Peggy) McCullough and Gary (Sheila) McCullough; grandchildren Lisa (Eric) Gall, Kari (Mike) Schimpf, Meghan (Chris) Tipton, Jason (Shirley) McCullough, Diana (Greg) Arbuckle; great-grandchildren Rachel Gall, Nathan Gall, Noah Schimpf, Ally Schimpf, Jonathon Mace, Tristan McCullough, Loralei Arbuckle and Phoebe Arbuckle; great-great-grandson Lucas McCullough; as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating. Burial will follow at Croy's Creek Cemetery.
