Touch-a-Truck event slated Saturday at GHS

Monday, June 12, 2017

The Friends of the Putnam County Public Library will sponsor its 5th annual Touch-a-Truck event Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Greencastle High School lower parking lot.

Children can touch and climb on vehicles of all types -- public service, emergency, utility, construction and transportation -- and hear from accompanying personnel who will teach how the machines help the community.

The event is $5 per person or $15 for a family of four. All money raised will support the Imagination Library program, which was started by Dolly Parton and provides a new and free age-appropriate book every month to each child enrolled, in Putnam County.

Tickets will be available on the day of the event, but to order in advance call 765-720-7610 or visit the Putnam County Public Library.
