• An Indianapolis woman was arrested early Sunday morning following a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 near the Cloverdale exit.

At 12:06 a.m. 24-year-old Breanna L. Maple was eastbound on the I-70 on-ramp at the 41-mile marker in a 2000 Mercury Sable.

Maple told Deputy Jeffery Freeman she was trying to enter the travel portion of the interstate when she attempted to stop quickly. At that point, she lost control of the car, leaving the south side of the road and going down an embankment. The car traveled about 60 yards after leaving the road.

Damage to the car was minor, but Freeman found Maple was under the influence of alcohol. She tested at .16 blood-alcohol content on the portable breath test and at .19 on the certified blood draw at the jail.

Maple was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction, driving with a suspended license and driving without financial responsibility.

She was booked in the Putnam County Jail at 2:20 a.m.
