Michael David Elliott
Michael David Elliott, age 65, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 29, 1951 in Putnam County, he was the son of David L. Elliott and Madonna (Proctor) Elliott. He was a 1969 graduate of Bainbridge High School and attended Indiana State University.
In December 1972, he married Deborah Kay (Foxworthy) Elliott in Crawfordsville.
Mike retired from Crown Equipment in 2014 and previously worked at Oxford Automotive in Greencastle.
He attended the Bainbridge Christian Church, was a past member and President of Bainbridge Lions Club, past member of the Greencastle Jaycees and active in the Bainbridge Little League program as a coach.
He enjoyed bird hunting, golfing, traveling, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife and mother, survivors include two children, daughter Amanda Rae Galbraith and husband Michael of Howell, Mich.; son Michael D. Elliott Jr. and wife Manda of Cory, Ind.; grandchildren Jacob David Galbraith, Seth Elliott Galbraith, Elias Hunter Johnson and Willow Aurora Elliott; brother Jeff Elliott and wife Sherry of Groveland; niece Shannon Elliott Johnson and husband Chris of Coatesville; and nephew Brandon Elliott and wife Courtney of Bainbridge.
His father and grandparents preceded him in death.
Mike was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Stroke Association in his memory.
