Ruth Evelyn Suitors

Ruth Evelyn Suitors, 83, Waynetown, passed away on Monday morning, July 3, 2017 while a resident of Whitlock House assisted living at Crawfordsville.

Ruth was born on July 12, 1933 in Fountain County, the daughter of Carl and Mary (nee: Jones) Florey.

She attended school at Veedersburg and then received her diploma from Waynetown High School.

On Aug. 11, 1951 she married Cecil Max Suitors, and they raised their three sons on a farm outside of Waynetown.

For a number of years the family attended the Waynetown Methodist Church.

Ruth will be dearly missed by her sons, Floyd Kim (wife Joanna) Suitors of Greencastle, Lloyd Tim (wife Diane) Suitors of Hillsboro and Michael Shane Suitors of Waynetown. She is also survived by her brother-in -aw Herschell Suitors of Goshen, sisters-in-law Sarah Suitors of Lafayette, and DeWay Florey of Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 11, 2014 and two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Ruth Suitors will be held at noon Friday, July 7 at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd., Waynetown, and officiated by Rev. Kevin Howey.

Burial will immediately follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

The family will receive guest from 11 a.m. Friday until the services.
