Edwin 'Ed' J. Cook

Edwin "Ed" J. Cook, 90, of McCordsville, Ind., passed away on July 4, 2017.

He was born on April 19, 1927 in Greencastle to the late Homer and Martha Lucille Cook.

Ed was a graduate of Reelsville High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1945-46, and received the rank of corporal.

Ed was a member of the Little Zion United Baptist Church.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Alma Cook; children Paul (Sonnie) Cook, Greg (Sandra) Cook, Jill Cook and Donna Cook; stepchildren Connie Daniels, Michael Daniels and Darryl (Jennifer) Daniels; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Colene Cook; son, Robert Cook; along with his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services -- Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers.
