County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 7:55 p.m. Taylor Marie Daugherty, 21, Greencastle, was taken into custody for dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana.

• At 7:55 p.m. Thomas Lee Gorham, 37, Greencastle, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

One arrest was reported Friday morning by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 4:35 a.m. Anthony Ray Pearson, 48, Greencastle, was arrested on West Green Street by Capt. Charles Inman.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Pearson faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Two recent traffic citations were issued by Greencastle officers.

• At 10:59 a.m. Thursday, Tracie Gruner, 50, Coatesville, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped on Fillmore Road, Gruner was cited for driving with a suspended license.

• At 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Juan Lopez, 30, Evansville, was ticketed by Capt. Chris Jones.

Stopped at Franklin and Jackson streets, Lopez was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies responded to one recent property-damage accident.

• At 8:12 a.m. on Thursday, Heather R. Rogers, 32, Crawfordsville, was eastbound on County Road 600 North, approaching County Road 200 West in a 2007 Kia Sorrento.

Rogers told Deputy Virgil Lanning she was unable to make the curve and left the roadway. The car went through the grass and hit the northwest corner of the garage at 6049 S. CR 200 West.

The garage was severely damaged and the vehicle was towed.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
