County Jail

One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 10:07 a.m. Timothy Scott Ashby, 48, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a warrant for second petition to revoke probation.

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated two recent property-damage crashes.

• At 5:08 p.m. on Thursday, David E. Bisaro, 56, Redford Township, Mich., was stopped southbound on U.S. 231 attempting to turn east on County Road 1350 North in a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. Hunter D. Harris, 17, Danville, was southbound approaching Bisaro’s vehicle in a 2008 Ford F150.

Bisaro told Deputy Jeffery Freeman he was unsure what to do in the construction zone and was preparing to turn left onto 1350 North. However, he did not have his turn signal activated and Harris was unsure of which way Bisaro was turning.

As Harris attempted to go around on the left, Bisaro began to turn left and Harris’ truck collided with the driver’s side of Bisaro’s vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage but neither driver was injured. Both were towed.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.

• At 2:10 p.m. on Monday, Lewis K. Kohler, 23, Cloverdale, was northbound on County Road 300 East just norht of U.S. 40 in a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu.

Kohler told Deputy Jacob Harrington he ran off the east side of the road, hitting an embankment before coming to rest in the ditch.

Kohler reported head pain but refused medical treatment.

The car was towed. Damage was estiamted at $5,001-$10,000.

Deputy Virgil Lanning assisted at the scene.
