Author Montgomery to visit PCPL July 27

Krista (K. L.) Montgomery, author of "Green Castles," "Fat Girl" and "Given to Fly," will deliver an author's talk followed by a book sale and signing Thursday, July 27 at 7 p.m. at the Putnam County Public Library.

Montgomery is a romance and women's fiction author who grew up in Greencastle. She is the daughter of Vicki and Monty Montgomery.

She attended South Putnam High School and the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities. She later received a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in library science from Indiana University.

After a 10-year career as a research librarian that began at DePauw University and ended at Salisbury University, she now writes novels when she's not tied up with her full-time job in higher education and part-time job as a social media manager.

Montgomery currently resides in Georgetown, Del., with her husband, Mike, and their four felines.
