Friday, July 28, 2017
A quilt, created by the Sew Many Stitchers Home Ec Club from previous years Putnam County Fair quilt block entries raised more than $300 during the Family Fun Day auction at the 2017 Fair. The quilt was purchased by Cathy Bogaert (second row, third from left), who invited members of the Heritage Heartland Homemakers, the Family Fun Day hosts, to the stage to share the moment Wednesday afternoon. Club members are (front, from left) Audrey Birtchman, Ruth Everts, Marianne Novak, Penny Steuer and Mary Ellen Deegan; second row (from left) Kathy Wass, Meegan Ebacher, Cathy Bogaert and Donna McGinley, and (on stage, from left) Pam Miller and Rosalyn Antcliff. Proceeds from the quilt auction are split between the club and the Community Building.
