9th Breastfeeding Celebration Thursday

The Putnam County WIC office along with Johnson Nichols Health Clinic will host the 9th annual Breastfeeding Celebration Thursday, Aug. 3 in honor of World Breastfeeding Week (WorldBreastfeedingWeek.org ).

Goal of the event is to promote and familiarize women with breastfeeding, allow them to meet other moms and enjoy a nice morning at the park.

The event is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Robe-Ann Park, Greencastle.

There will be snacks, free giveaways from local businesses, and prenatal and breastfeeding education and support.

Any pregnant or breastfeeding local mother, along with her family, is allowed to attend.
