John J. Rosich Sr.

John J. Rosich Sr., 77, of Greencastle, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.

John was retired from Kemper Insurance and American States as a special loss expert.

He was born on Dec. 24, 1939 in Ellscott, Alberta, Canada, to Joseph and Theresa (Brkich) Rosich.

On Jan. 15, 1972, he married Jeanne McCormick Rosich, who preceded him in death in 2015.

His interests included amateur radio where he held callsign K9UC; Master Gardener; and a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Greencastle.

Preceding him in death were his parents, eldest sister Mary (Rosich) Bicanic and brother George.

Survivors include son John, sisters Katherine, Anna and Michelle; nephews Joseph (Sara) Rosich and Peter Bicanic; niece Theresa Bicanic, and several great-nieces.
