Emerald Command kicks off season at Indiana State Fair

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale Emerald Command kicked off its performance season at the Indiana State Fair Band Day on Aug. 5.

The band placed 10th of 22 bands in their class and 36th overall. Emerald Command will also participate in ISSMA marching band contests this year in a show called “Intergalactic” that will feature music from “Star Trek,” “The Planets,” “Rocket Man,” “Space Oddity” and “Galactic Empires.”

The next performance will be at the ISSMA Summer Showcase Aug. 19 at Tipton High School.
