Sarah Hacker Johnson

Sarah Hacker Johnson, 78, of Branson, Mo., passed away Aug. 8, 2017 at her home.

Sarah was born April 15, 1939 in Morgan County, the daughter of the late T. Sherman Hacker and Alberta Reynolds Hacker.

She graduated from Belle Union High School in 1958.

Sarah worked at P. R. Mallory in Greencastle for many years and for many Putnam County businesses before retiring to Branson, Mo..

She loved socializing, sewing and caring for others. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Sarah has one son, John L. Johnson; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, T. Jerry Hacker; brother-in-law Donald Anderson and sister-in-law Gypsy Hacker.

Sarah is survived by her sons; eight brothers and sisters, Betsy Anderson, Alice Hacker, James (Judy) Hacker, Myron Hacker, Robert (Kathy) Hacker, Linda (Virgil) Nicoson, Sherman (Juanita) Hacker, Eleanor (Larry) Linneman and Carolyn (Kenneth) Dean; 20 nieces and nephews, and 37 great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. at New Providence Cemetery.
