Audrey Collier

Audrey Collier, 78, of Gosport, passed away Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Dec. 27, 1938 in Wayne County, Ky., she was the daughter of Owen Keith and Clydia (New) Keith.

One of her greatest passions was teaching Sunday school at Word of Life Church.

She was a 1957 graduate of Stinesville High School.

She retired from Cook Inc. after 19 years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all.

She leaves behind two sons, Timothy Collier and wife Mindy of Gosport, and David Collier and wife Angie of Spencer; one daughter, Cynthia Mattox and her husband Jeff of Greencastle; six grandchildren, Jason, Jeremiah, Amy, Lynne, Jeffery and Samantha; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patty Keith, Donna Dunbar and Cheryl Baker; four brothers, Boyd Keith, Eugene Keith, Charles Keith and Daniel Keith and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Jerry Collier; her parents, Owen Keith and Clydia (New) Keith, and two brothers, James Keith and Horace Keith.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 6 from noon to 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home-Whitaker Chapel in Gosport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Don Dwyer officiating. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside Jerry, the love of her life.
