INDIANAPOLIS – The 2017 Plane Pull in Indianapolis benefiting the Special Olympics was a success for the Putnamville Correctional Facility Team (PCF).

PCF took first place for the fourth time in six years.

Several other facilities participated, as well as other law enforcement entities, including the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The PCF team won by pulling a Boeing 757 twelve feet in 5.530 seconds.

The team members came from many different ranks of officers, program coordinators, the office of intelligence and investigations and even maintenance staff. Warden Brian Smith, Deputy Warden Tim Phegley and Major Harley Crabb were present to be support team members and cheerleaders for the team.

During the Plane Pull in Indy, there were several fun events for the whole family, including bounce houses, music, food and games.

“Putnamville would love to see more staff and families out there next year to see them win again,” Warden Smith said.
