David Paul Burns

David Paul Burns, 59, of Greencastle, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at his residence.

David was born in Indianapolis on Feb. 9, 1958, the son of Richard Burns and Barbara Taylor.

He was a 1976 graduate of Plainfield High School.

Mr. Burns proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for YRC for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lois Burns; three children, Angela Plouchard (husband Matt), Plainfield, Jonathan Burns (wife Tara), Paris, Ill., and Kristine Flint (husband Joseph), Greencastle; three grandchildren, Levi, Ayden and Nicholas; a sister, Darla Little; a brother, Daryl Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mike Burns; and a sister, Debbie Tolin.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
