Good Food, Good Time

Finally persuaded to try a buzz button microgreen, Putnam County Sheriff Scott Stockton experiences four distinct phases of the spicy lemon flavor of the vegetable grown in the newly-renovated South Putnam High School hydroponics facility. Stockton was not the only one to react strongly to the vegetable, as a Friday evening open house gave community members the chance not only to tour the new facility, but try some of its produce. Microgreens are much smaller than their original counterparts, but have the same nutritional value and flavor. There are plans in the works for South Putnam to sell these to Kroger and Myers’ Market.
