Park Dept. ‘Talk Like a Pirate Day’ set Tuesday

International Talk like a Pirate Day is on Tuesday, Sept. 19 and the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Putnam County Public Library for some fun.

As any pirate would say, “Come join in for games, songs, and snacks for all ye’ land lubbers that be fit for any pirate’s crew.”

Come dressed as a pirate and enter the Best Dressed Pirate Costume Contest for a chance to win a prize.

The free program is scheduled for 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday in the Kiwanis Room at the Putnam County Public Library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.
