Larry Eugene Phillips

Larry Eugene Phillips, 64, Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017.

Born July 28, 1953 in Greencastle, he was the son of Emerson and Mary (King) Phillips.

He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army.

Larry served the Lord in ministry at the Family of God, Roachdale, and retired from the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Greencastle, where he had worked several years.

He was a member of the Church of the Living Christ, Harmony.

Larry is survived by his children, T.J. Phillips, Emery Phillips and Shelly Covert; father, Emerson Phillips; siblings, Ernie (Debby) Phillips, Brenda Phillips, Bill (Joyce) Phillips, Brad (Ruthie) Phillips, Kathy (Loren) Caldwell and Mike (Cheryl) Phillips; five grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and companion Debbie Bunten.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the funeral home.
