County Jail

Four people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 10:59 p.m. Barbara Jane Johnson, 38, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail on a pair of out-of-county warrants.

• At 7:09 p.m. Jacob Elijah Williams, 22, Fillmore, was taken into custody on two counts of failure to register as a sex or violent offender and possession of a synthetic drug or lookalike substance.

• At 3:35 p.m. Jason Lamonte McCloud, 32, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for possession of a cellular telephone or device while incarcerated.

• At 1:30 p.m. Steven Ray Colindres, 26, Russellville, was booked in on local warrant.

City Police

A 35-year-old Indianapolis man was arrested on four charges early Thursday after a reported shoplifting incident at the Greencastle Walmart store.

• At 5 a.m. Thursday, Mark Anthony Gossar Jr., was arrested by Officer Zach Rhine and lodged in the Putnam County Jail for theft, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Gossar reportedly attempted to steal a hooded sweatshirt, valued at $17.44, and allegedly made off with a pair of $8.43 sunglasses as he darted out of the store. The manager recovered the hoodie.

However, when Officer Rhine tracked Gossar down across the parking lot near the Dollar Tree store, he recovered a total of $128.64 in merchandise, including Baccardi rum, a weather radio, air freshener, boxer briefs and Sprite.

One citation was issued Thursday night by city officers.

• At 6:57 p.m., Brayden Bollman, 18, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Rhine.

Stopped on Percy Julian Drive at Indianapolis Road, Bollman was cited for operating with fictitious plates.
