County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 8:51 p.m. Robert Howard, 57, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

• At 2:30 p.m. William Edward Bolton II, 18, Greencastle, was taken into custody for criminal mischief.

Saturday

• At 11:14 p.m. Kenneth Ray Crowe, 39, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for battery against a public safety officer, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

• At 11:10 p.m. Thomas Lee Gorham, 37, Greencastle, was booked in on a Morgan County warrant.

• At 7:15 p.m. Urbano Quechulpa Arieta, 31, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for driving without ever receiving a license and driving with a BAC of .15 or more.

• At 4:10 a.m. David Ryan Jones, 25, Avon, was taken into custody for intimidation, residential entry, battery, driving with a suspenced license and public intoxication.

• At 3:08 a.m. Kenneth Richard Baird, 53, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Friday

• At 11:45 p.m. Carol Marie Anderson, 40, Greencastle, was booked in on two Shelby County warrants and an Owen County warrant.

• At 10:14 p.m. Matthew Richard Liscomb, 33, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on warrants out of Delaware County and Tippecanoe County.

• At 7:46 p.m. Aliesha Marie Hathecock, 30, Terre Haute, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

City Police

Two recent citations were issued by recently by Greencastle City Police.

• At 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Jesica Maurer, 32, Brazil, was cited by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped at North Indiana and Liberty streets, Maurer was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

• At 11:04 p.m. Friday, Jennifer Buttery, 24, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Brad Hiatt.

Stopped at North Indiana and Jacob streets, Buttery was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 7:35 a.m. on Sunday, Marica L. Mendenhall, 61, Brazil, was eastbound on U.S. 40 just west of Putnamville Correctional Facility in a 2013 Toyota Tundra.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to two dispatches and seven medical runs.

• At 1:51 p.m. on Saturday, GFD responded to reports of a possible structure fire at 1027 N. U.S. 231. The potential structure fire turned out to be mulch burning near the home. Upon arrival, the homeowner was found to already have extinguished a portion of the flames. GFD assisted in the complete extinguishment of the flames and checked for hot spots before returning to station.

• At 2:57 p.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to cooking at 410 S. Indiana St. GFD reset the alarm before returning to station.
