County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 1:17 p.m. Charles William Maybaum, 31, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant for two counts of Level 2 felony burglary, two counts of Level 3 felony armed robbery, Level 3 felony criminal confinement, Level 6 felony theft and Level 6 felony auto theft.

• At 11:04 a.m. Heath A. Cloncs, 30, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for failure to appear.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 10:16 a.m. Arthur L. Rogers, 60, Greencastle, was turning south onto U.S. 231 from County Road 350 North in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.

As he turned, Rogers’ passenger side rear tire hit the end of a guardrail, causing a flat tire and guardrail damage.

Lt. Donnie Pettit estimated damage at $1,001-$2,500. Deputy Jacob Harrington assisted at the scene.
