Scholarship Fun
An Oct. 7 golf scramble at Clover Meadows raised more than $10,000 for the Area 30 Career Center Scholarship Fund. The winning team with a score of 20 strokes under par is composed of (from left) Tom Worman, Rob Worman, Drew Shafer and Dave Wood. Area 30 seniors can apply for scholarship funds for assistance with tuition for college, trade school, certification programs or equipment/tools required for a career after high school. The scholarships will be awarded at the annual Senior Recognition Day on May 10 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Area 30 Career Center would like to thank all of the teams and sponsors who made this year’s golf outing a huge success, especially acknowledging Ascena Retail Group for being the co-sponsor of the outing.
