Emma Wilson wins cross country semistate title

Emma Wilson of Greencastle earned her third straight trip to the IHSAA cross country state finals next weekend in Terre Haute by winning the Shelbyville Semistate.

Wilson, a junior, remained undefeated for the season and picked up her first-ever semistate title.

WIlson won the race in a time of 17:41.4, finishing 10.9 seconds ahead of runner up Phoebe Bates of Carmel.
