Putnam County communities have established trick-or-treat hours for Halloween

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

All Putnam County community trick-or-treat hours will limit door-to-door activity to just the night of the holiday itself on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Specified community trick-or-treat hours on Tuesday are:

-- Greencastle -- 6-8 p.m.

The annual downtown trick-or-treat event on the courthouse square is set from 4-6 p.m., hosted by Main Street Greencastle this year.

The downtown effort will be held on South Indiana, Vine and Walnut streets as well as at participating downtown businesses.

Look for fall carnival games in the Vine Street parking lot along with a photo booth.

-- Cloverdale -- 5-8 p.m.

-- Fillmore -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Heritage Lake -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Bainbridge -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Roachdale -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Russellville -- 6-8 p.m.

As is the custom locally, residents welcoming trick-or-treaters are urged to turn on their porch light during the appropriate period. Likewise, Halloween revelers are asked to skip homes not illuminating their outside light.
