Park Board seeking public input for new master plan

Thursday, October 26, 2017

The Greencastle Board of Park Commissioners is seeking public input to help draft a new five-year park master plan.

The plan will guide the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department into the upcoming years 2018-22, by not only setting priorities for the department, but qualifying the department for state and federal grants.

"We want to invite our citizens to a special public input session to be held at our next Park Board meeting scheduled for Thursday night, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Greencastle City Hall," Park Director Rod Weinschenk said.

In addition to the public input session, the department is seeking comments through an on-line survey available on the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page, as well as the City of Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department website.

Residents may also take the survey by going to gprd.recdesk.com and clicking on the "Take the survey" button or by typing in the following website which will go directly to the survey ... https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Greencastle_Parks_and_Recreation_Survey

Paper copies of the survey are also available at Greencastle City Hall and will be available at the public input session.
