• At 8:03 p.m. on Sunday, Madison S. Woodall, 18, Greencastle, was attempting to turn left onto eastbound U.S. 40 in eastern Putnam County in a 2008 Toyota Solara.

Woodall told Deputy Riley Houghton she saw three westbound vehicles, all with their right turn signals activated. Woodall believed she could proceed with the other vehicles turning.

As Woodall accelerated, she entered the path of Kaylene S. Allen, 60, Brazil, who was westbound in a 1997 Plymouth Breeze.

Neither driver could avoid the collision.

Allen was transported to Putnam County Hospital for further evaluation of her injuries. Woodall was evaluated and released at the scene.

The car hit a cement slab at the entrance of Suburban Propane.

Walden told Soilleux the other vehicle continued eastbound in the west lane without stopping.

Both Walden and her passenger refused medical aid.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

• At 9:15 p.m. on Friday, Michael B. Shoopman, 19, Cloverdale, was northbound toward Indianapolis Road in the Dollar General/Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot.

Caleb A. Basore, 18, Greencastle, said he was driving across the parking lot in a 2007 Mazda 6i when a truck ran into him. Basore said he did not see the truck and “it all happened so fast.”
