The Bainbridge Tap is now Hayden’s Bainbridge Tap, and the name isn’t the only thing that’s changed. Owners Mark and Dawn Hayden (below) purchased the building (first built in 1912) for $225,000 a year ago, and have been remodeling every Sunday since with the help of their son, Daniel, his fiancee, Briann Gill, and the community. Even with the dust flying sales have tripled. Today is the grand opening that will welcome patrons new and old to darts, billiards, drinks, food and company. “There’s not a thing the same,” Mark said. “A lot of people in town have helped. It’s a nice place to go. Everybody gets along.” Bill Denny, whose been coming for 40 years and remembers when it had a dance floor, said, “I like it very much. It’s more cozy. I know the people who own it.” Hayden’s Bainbridge Tap is located at 109 W. Main St. in Bainbridge.
