Ivy Tech Greencastle hosting evening registration event

Ivy Tech Community College will host an evening registration event in Greencastle for those interested in taking classes during the spring 2018 semester.

The event is set for 2-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27 at Ivy Tech Greencastle, 915 S. Zinc Mill Rd. Those interested can RSVP for an event and learn more at www.ivytech.edu/enrollmentday.

These events help prospective students complete their enrollment steps and register for classes. Attendees can meet with Ivy Tech representatives and receive assistance filling out an application and completing financial aid, assessment, advising and registration, as well as signing up for new student orientation.

To meet the assessment requirement, attendees can bring in their SAT/ACT/PSAT scores, high school transcript, college transcript or take an assessment called the ACCUPLACER if needed.

Programs offered at Ivy Tech Greencastle include the General Education Transfer Core, which transfers to four-year institutions, Practical Nursing, Practical Nursing to Associate of Science in Nursing Transition, Business Administration and Supply Chain Management/Logistics. Ivy Tech Greencastle also offers the Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP), which allows students right out of high school to earn a transferable associate degree in just 11 months.

Students can earn their degree in these programs or take other classes that can be applied toward degrees at other Ivy Tech campuses. The site offers admissions, advising, assessment, financial aid, bursar, testing center and free tutoring.

Ivy Tech Community College is the state's largest public postsecondary institution and the nation's largest singly accredited statewide community college system.
