Kiwanis continues Riley support

Presenting a $1,500 check to Riley Children’s Hospital representative Amber Miller (center) are Greencastle Kiwanis Club President Pam Bowman and Vice President Andrew Ranck. During her presentation to the local club, Miller highlighted how Kiwanis has been a supporter of Riley through fundraisers since 1919 — five years before the Indianapolis hospital even opened its doors. Today, Kiwanis support of Riley takes a number of forms, including the Kiwanis Comfort Cart, which Kiwanis volunteers roll through the hospital, providing small things that parents may have forgotten when taking their sick children to the hospital. It’s a kindness of which the parents take notice. “I have often seen people literally in tears about the Comfort Cart,” Miller said.
