Phyllis 'Jo' Blaschke

Phyllis "Jo" Blaschke, 84, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017.

Jo was born on May 28, 1933 in Morgan County, Ind., to the late Edgar and Inez (Simpson) Sims.

Jo graduated Mooresville High School in 1951 and Indiana Central Business College.

She wed Charles "Bud" Blaschke Jr. on Dec. 6, 1952.

Bud and Jo, along with their three sons, operated Blaschke Trucking until their retirement.

Jo was an avid golfer for many years both here and Winter Haven, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kevin Dean Blaschke, and a daughter-in-law, Pamela (Graham) Blaschke.

Jo is survived by her husband of 65 years and the love of her life, Bud; two sons, Charles "Chuck" Blaschke III and her beloved caretakers, Eddie Joe (Tonja) Blaschke; one sister, June (Dan Keiser) Pickens; two brothers-in-law, Duane Blaschke and Larry (Joanne) Blaschke; sister-in-law, Thelma Weddle; six grandchildren, Mandy (Jeremy) Broyles, Craig Blaschke, Chase Blaschke, Eddie (Mandy) Blaschke II, Brandy (Kevin) Willis and Jason (Allison) Blaschke; 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday Dec. 8 from 4-8 p.m. at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the services in West Newton Cemetery.
