Ruth Ann Hammond

Ruth Ann Hammond, 74, of Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017.

She was born April 19, 1943 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Forrest Herschel and Nancy Louise (VanVactor) Skinner.

Ruth Ann had retired from IBM, where she had worked for several years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Nathaniel Hammond; her parents; and sisters Katherine Scott and Charlotte Estes.

She is survived by her children, Gary Hammond and husband, Gregg Gleasner, and Lori Hammond and fiancé, Logan Summers; sisters Janet Cox and Pamela Billingsley; and three grandchildren, Casey James Hammond and wife, Elizabeth, Eden Hammond and Isaac Hammond.

Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date.

Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
