Donald Wils Bowlby, Greencastle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Family meant everything to him.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora; his daughter, Carol Seketa; and sons Allen Bowlby, David Bowlby, Michael Dollinger and Mark Dollinger. Also by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Paul D. Bowlby; and his sister, Margaret Perish.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Donald Bowlby; his mother, Mildred Rettig Bowlby; and his sister, Nancy Dukes.

Donald was in the Air Force for five years.

He retired from AT&T, where he was an installer of telephones.

Donald loved to travel. He was a member of three bands, the Family Reunion String Band, in which he played autoharp and dulcimer; the Ukulele Band of Greencastle; and the co-founder of The Fret Set Band, where he played the mandolin.

Donald performed at the Indiana State Fair in the Pioneer Farm Building for more than 30 years and volunteered to play music at nursing homes.

With the help of family members he built the log home that he shared with his wife Lenora.

Arrangements have been made with Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel, 76 N. Avon Ave., Avon, IN 46123.
