Jonathan Jerome South
Jonathan Jerome South, 58, La Crescenta, Calif., passed away Dec. 1, 2017 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles due to complications from throat cancer.
He was born in the Putnam County Hospital on Jan. 1, 1959. Jonathan was the youngest son of Donald and Rose South of Brick Chapel.

After Gail passed away, Jonathan was inspired to become a nurse and after graduation worked in the bone marrow transplant unit at Sloan Kettering Hospital in NYC.
Jonathan and Stephen were passionate about animal rights and adopted senior dogs -- especially chihuahuas -- giving them a loving and safe home for the rest of their lives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose South, and sister, Gail South Newby.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
